The Torre de la Escaleta, also known as “les Caletes”, is a watchtower that was built in the 16th century, and whose function was to warn of the possible arrival of Berber corsairs, who at that time frequently arrived to this area of the coast.
It is located in Punta del Cavall, in the Sierra Helada Park.
