The Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality has given Benidorm the Q brand after passing the audit of the Intelligent Tourist Destination Management System carried out by AENOR.
The mayor of the city, Toni Pérez, has stated that Benidorm has been working since 2016 to obtain this certificate, first granted as a Smart Tourist Destination (DTI).
The first edil has received the congratulations of Miguel Mirones, president of the Institute for Spanish Tourism Quality, who has extended his congratulations to the municipality and invited other tourist destinations to follow in his footsteps.
The certification audit covers the entire city of Benidorm, in addition to the level of specialization of its tourist offer: sport, health and wellness, gastronomy, shopping, congresses… Etc. This report highlights as strengths Benidorm’s commitment to innovation and development as DTI, as well as the creation of a Smart Office DTI.
